About Caroline Fazeli

Originally from San Francisco, Caroline moved to London at 16 before earning a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology at Oxford, where she discovered her passion for wine tasting—winning Top Taster in the 2009 Blind Wine Tasting competition against Cambridge.

She refined her culinary skills at Le Cordon Bleu, then dove into London’s wine trade, earning her WSET Level 4 Diploma in 2012. After working in London, San Francisco, and Paris, she settled in Lyon in 2017 and launched Lyon Wine Tastings the following year.

During the pandemic, Caroline pivoted to online wine education, earning recognition in The New York Times. Today, she runs Lyon Wine Tastings, organizes private tours and French wine retreats, and creates engaging short-form video content for over 106,000 Instagram followers.
